My name is Suhyun Park, and I write on this blog every now and then. Online, I mostly go by the nickname shift (shift*). My homepage is over here.
I used to be an undergraduate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Sogang University, and I founded solved.ac and worked as its CEO. In 2019, I served as president of the Sogang ICPC Team, and in 2020, I served as president of the Union of Collegiate Programming Contest Clubs.
After graduating, I've been working since 2025 at a new team called the Algorithm Research Team at Nexon Korea. I'm currently deeply involved in planning NYPC 1219 and Code Battle. I mainly do frontend and infrastructure/DevOps engineering, and I also help out with backend development now and then.
Before that, I took a leave of absence from school in 2020 and worked at Nexon's Engine Studio until 2022. Back then, my main work was also frontend engineering for an internal analytics platform and setting/selecting problems for NYPC. In 2018, I worked as an Android engineer at Hyperconnect, but it's been a long time since I gave up mobile app engineering.
I originally blogged on Naver Blog, but I set up a separate blog because I wanted to share more technically and academically in-depth stuff. At the time, writing math equations on Naver Blog was really painful, and the fact that I could freely design my own blog here with HTML/CSS played a part too.
Every post is checked several times before it goes up, and even after posting, I try to fix anything that reads awkwardly or contains errors. If you happen to find an error I missed or something that reads awkwardly, I'd be more than grateful if you pointed it out anytime on my Twitter or by email.
Well then, I look forward to seeing you around here too!
